Movement
Lokesh is a movement artist, choreographer, and facilitator working across contemporary dance, improvisation, acroyoga, partnerwork, physical theatre, and Latin dance forms.
Approach
His practice draws from floorwork, soft acrobatics, hip-hop, capoeira, yoga, and contact improvisation. It moves between explosiveness and fluidity, power and softness, control and vulnerability, and individual expression and shared weight.
His classes balance structure and play, building strength, coordination, awareness, fluidity, and dynamic power. Improvisation sits at the centre of his approach, inviting people to develop their own ways of moving rather than reproduce a single “right” form. Technique becomes a way to expand choice, not restrict expression.
Alongside facilitating learning spaces, he creates and collaborates across performance, choreography, dance film, workshops, retreats, and interdisciplinary movement projects.
Lokesh is also a certified RYT 200 Hatha Yoga teacher and aerial yoga instructor.

What I love about Lokesh's classes is that you're surprised at every point right from the beginning, in a good way. There's an element of innovation and play, be it the warm up, technique or sequences. It keeps you on your toes, but at the same time Lokesh patiently observes and helps people adapt as per their dancing expertise and comfort level. The classes are super fun and you end up learning a lot!
CBP has given me a real sense of purpose, and I'm not ready to see that momentum fade. The prompts didn't just push me creatively in movement — they've also opened up new ways of thinking at work. I guess that's the power of movement.
Meeting you by chance and practicing acroyoga together truly changed my whole perspective on yoga, movement, and learning. You showed me how powerful the small steps are, how quickly the body learns, and how strong it can become when someone guides with patience and presence.
