Hello, I’m Lokesh.
I turn curiosity
into systems, tools,
and experiences.
I build backend systems, data infrastructure, and independent creative tools. I’m drawn to the inner workings of systems—and the outer reaches of human expression.

About
A little bit about me.
I study systems — in code, bodies, products, and play.
I’m a software engineer with over seven years of experience building backend systems, data infrastructure, and products at startups including Udaan.com and Clarisights. I like going beneath the surface, questioning abstractions, and turning complex ideas into useful, dependable tools.
That curiosity also shows up in the things I build independently, from MastiDB, an experimental analytical database, to dhol.dance, a tool for exploring rhythm more intuitively.
Alongside engineering, I have a long-standing practice in movement and performance. It gives me another way to explore, create, teach, and engage with human expression.

Selected work
Systems, tools, and creative technology.
Process
From question to something real.
The same arc shows up whether I’m building software, designing a workshop, or exploring movement.
-
Question
A friction, gap, pattern, or possibility.
-
Explore
Study it, test it, and follow the edges.
-
Distill
Name the structure and shape a framework.
-
Build
Turn it into a product, tool, system, or experience.
Writing
Recent notes and essays.
Writing on software, movement, learning, and the patterns I keep returning to.
